This week on Cosmoledo started with spring tides, transitioning into neap tides by the end of the week.

From day one, there was a buzz of excitement as all the boys eagerly ventured onto the flats.
RIPP HOSTED WEEK
Hungry fish and excellent conditions lead to one of the best weeks of fishing of the Northeast season so far.
500 AND COUNTING
Yesterday we broke through the 500 fish barrier with a catch of 48 fish including quite a lot of grilse.
THE GRILSE HAVE ARRIVED
We have been extremely lucky on the East Ranga with some utterly stunning fresh fish being caught in the early days of July.
A strong start to the Icelandic Salmon Fishing Season
The 2023 Salmon fishing season has kicked off in Iceland, ushering in a wave of excitement and anticipation among fishers both at home and abroad.
New SEASON
East Ranga was one of Iceland’s two most prolific rivers, producing over 3800 salmon in four months to an average of 16 rods.

Overall a stellar season spent with our wonderful clients and professional team.
THOSE WHO DARE
We had a great end to July and the teams ariving into early August came with great enthusiasm. We had a crack team in first.
A LOT OF GRILSE
We’ve had a storm, we’ve had a flood and now we have a hell of a run of grilse arriving.
TURBO GRILSE
We have had a real mixture of rods over the last nine days. From highly experienced fishing machines to first time salmon anglers.
PARLEZ-VOUS FRANCAIS
The party landed 101 fish for their visit to 18 rods. Every member of the party caught at least one fish with a number of first salmon and quite a few first of many.
CALM BEFORE THE STORM
The opening was slow with tough conditions. That said in the first 6.5 days fishing we landed 54 fish with an average of 15 rods fishing the river.
THE LODGE OPENS FOR 2022
After a lovely dinner on the evening of the 30th June we opened the lodge fishing season on the East Ranga with great expectation.

Week 17 started off with some calm and exciting spring tides. Our new group was mostly return guest so they were very excited to be back and see what the week held.
